MORSE MAY ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY- May- Books for Bikes!
On Thursday, May 9th students and staff at Morse Memorial School celebrated citizenship, good behavior and community at our assembly. Thanks to The Marsh River Lodge # 102 and other local businesses, and community members for donating 14 bikes, helmets and t-shirts to our students. The program is officially called Books for Bikes. All students had an equal chance to win, by bringing in their monthly reading calendars in February, March and April in exchange for a bike raffle ticket. Many students had three tickets and chances to win. Jeff Larabee from the Marsh River Lodge pulled all the winning tickets. Additional guests from the Lodge were Greg Parks, who assembled all the bikes and Ray Quimby, who did a fine job educating students around bike safety. We are already planning to do this again next year, so keep those reading calendars going and remember to bring them in each month for your chance to win. Thank you, Marsh River Lodge 102 for organizing this event. We truly appreciate it!
Jeff Larrabbe had the honors of selecting two winners from each grade. And the winners were...... Pre-K: Mia Donovan and Wyatt Bennett, grade K: Ava Oxton and Graisen Kelley, grade 1: Morgan Curtis and Aiden Davis, Grade 2 Devon Rodgers and Emily Hodgdon, Grade 3: Taylor Prescott and Rio Dubois, grade 4: Austin Toole and Monica Hodgdon and grade 5: Amethyst Merithew and Shaylee Estabrook.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS! KEEP READING!
We would like to thank the Marsh River Lodge #102 and all the community members that made this possible for our students.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
